RUBY HENRY DICKS
Hi I’m Ruby, a recent Multimedia Journalism graduate with an LLB in Law, now building a career in digital marketing, content and communications.
Across my work, I focus on taking ideas that are often unclear or difficult to engage with and making them clear, structured and engaging for an audience. Through journalism, I learned how to find and shape stories, while my law degree strengthened my ability to break down complex information and communicate it clearly.
More recently, I’ve applied this in a marketing context. I worked as a Content and Email Marketing Intern at Bron Yr Aur Micronation, where I introduced and developed a newsletter that contributed to a 32 percent increase in subscribers, alongside growth in social media reach and engagement.
I’m currently part of Agent Academy, where I’ve collaborated with 20 plus industry stakeholders from organisations including Size, MP & Co and Tigerbond to develop a strategic early careers proposition for Chiesi, a global B Corp pharmaceutical company.
Alongside this, I’m working on a freelance project with Joe Woof as Creative Project Lead, supporting the launch of his Instagram presence and helping to build his personal brand around The Addiction Economy and his upcoming book.
I’m responsible for shaping the overall direction of the project, structuring ideas and guiding how complex, research-driven topics are translated into clear, engaging social content. This involves working closely with a small team across design, content and research to ensure everything is aligned and purposeful.
While I lead on direction and structure, I also contribute across other areas of the project where needed, supporting content, creative and research to help move things forward. It’s been a very collaborative process, and one I’ve really enjoyed leading and shaping.
I’m particularly interested in roles across marketing, PR and content, where I can combine storytelling with structure and continue developing both the creative and strategic sides of my work.
“Ruby has been highly engaged, proactive and professional...She produced high-quality, engaging content and showed a natural talent for communicating ideas in a clear, creative and authentic way. She would be a real asset to any team she joins.”
